RC4WD ­ Hrcct Scale Rc Trial Championship - Season opening


The 2014 season opening was organised in the Valkó forest, near Gödöllő. Luckily we had a beautyful sunny spring raceday. The track was fine, tricky slopes, interesting pine forest, and lots of competitors. On the top of the hill, far from the traffic we could start the technical insepctions after the track was specified.



The track contained two sections, one in the woods, the other is on the loose slope, containing many tricky gates and funny traffic signs.





The competitors:

We had more than 30 entries, many of them we knew from the previous years, but there were a few new faces as usual ;) The sequece was drawn at the scene. Since the tracks contained loose grounds, it changed thorugh the race... The gates which were easy in the begining getting harder and harder, so it was a real challenge.

The complete race time was around 20-50 minutes depending on the racers. Some had a few technical difficulties, bad batteries, flat tires etc.

After 6 hours racing we could announced the winners:

Our second race was a quite challenging one
The weather was luckily quite calm, after a week of thunderstorms.
Despite it there was no water in the streambed The two stages
was now a bit more tricky than usual... without a relyable winch it
was near to impossible to complete.

RC4WD Scale Trial Championship 2014 Fifth race and Central European Scale Trophy first race




- Date: 26-27th July, 2014
- Place: Babat Hunter house, Hungary http://goo.gl/maps/Tc2lh
- Arrival: from 16.00 pm
- Technical inspection starts: 20.00 pm
- First start: 22:00 pm

The standard race begins at 22.00, in the total darkness :)
There will be no outdoor / street lights under the stage, you must use SCALE lights, lightbars on your car!
Entry fee: 1500 HUF / 5 €

You can sleep at the place of the race, there is a famous Hunter House, tenting possible. Rooms are available in a limited number. More info, prices coming soon ;)

RC4WD Scale Trial Championship + CEST

There will be 3 sections, starting at 22.00 (night race, ends in the morning!)
Here is a little rule change, compared to the usual rules, because of the teamplay:


RC4WD champoinship

- you get your ranking based on your penalties and scale points, as usual, but
- there is no time bonus

CEST

- You get your own penalties and scale points, but you get the team time, as following:

Every started minute will be one (1) Point.
Time and points starts when the first car of your team crosses the start line and ends when the last car of your team pass the finsih line of the section.

Overall points = Failure points + Team drive time - Scale-Bonuspoints
Team end result = (Overall team points) / (size of team)
The smaller value the better

Rule changes

- Winching to ground / pullpal / other car allowed only! No hand/foot assisted winching this time!

- The winch penalty goes to that driver who gets the help, no matter whos winch is actually doing the job

- The afternoon expedition is a warm up "stage", you can modify your car, wheels, etc, before the technical inspection for the night race!

- Waterproof electronics advised :)

- Mosquito repellent higly advised! ;)

- There are still some rooms (3 and 4 bed; 40 and 50€ per room) available, you can reserve until 20. 07. 2014
